Ispalbooks UK

About us and CSR

Ispalbooks UK is part of Ispalbooks Group, the parent company that owns all of our imprints and shops. Across the group we publish classic and contemporary literature in accessible editions, with the same idea in every territory: the format of a book should never be the reason someone stops reading.

Ispalbooks Group

The group

Corporate social responsibility

Our CSR is not an add-on: it comes out of the catalogue itself. These are the commitments Ispalbooks Group makes and that we apply in the UK.

Accessible reading

We publish editions with enlarged type, generous line spacing, careful contrast and low-glare paper for people with low vision, dyslexia or visual fatigue. The same standard applies to our websites, which follow WCAG 2.2 at level AA.

Giving back through community projects

Part of the profit from several series goes to projects that promote accessible reading: donated copies for libraries, care homes, organisations for people with sight loss and educational programmes.

Authors and fair treatment

Through Ispalbooks Autores, we support everyone who publishes with us with clear terms, understandable contracts and permanent access to information about their works.

Responsible production

We work with print runs matched to real demand to reduce surplus and waste, and we favour local printers and suppliers in each territory of the group.
